Vehicle CQB - Instructor: Will Petty

This class will cover dynamic positional shooting as it relates to vehicles in the use of cover and concealment. Drills will incorporate adverse shooting platforms with dynamic weapons manipulations while engaging threats in, around, and under vehicles. Students will leave with an understanding of ballistic principles as they apply to various mediums of cover such as glass, vehicle doors, engine blocks and wheels.

Class Requirements

  • 500rds total (pistol/carbine/both)
  • A functional carbine chambered in 5.56x45, 5.45x39 or 7.62x39mm (standard pistol caliber acceptable for students running submachine guns)
  • A functional and practical handgun chambered in 9mm, .40 cal, or .45 ACP with a sturdy, functional holster that provides adequate retention during fast-paced drills. Each student should have at least 4 working magazines.
  • Note pad and pen
  • Appropriate range clothing
  • Ear and eye protection
  • A rigid belt capable of supporting equipment and/or an effective method of carrying at least 3 rifle magazines on your person
  • A rigid belt capable of supporting your secondary weapon and spare magazines
  • A holster and magazine pouch that will retain equipment when moving
  • Tools, cleaning gear and weapon lube
  • A willingness to learn
